Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans.
- In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for 3 minutes.
- Drain and immediately place the beans in ice water to stop cooking.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the green beans and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the sliced almonds and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm.
