Ingredients

- 2 catfish fillets
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Rinse catfish fillets under cold water.
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Dip each fillet in buttermilk, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry each fillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot.

- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
