Description
A rich and moist German chocolate sheet cake topped with a delicious coconut pecan frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a sheet cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Stir in boiling water until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, melt butter in a saucepan and stir in sweetened condensed milk, coconut, and pecans.
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Spread frosting over the cooled cake.
Notes
- Allow the cake to cool completely before adding frosting.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be served with whipped cream or ice cream.
