German chocolate pecan pie bars that will warm your heart

Description

Delicious German chocolate pecan pie bars with a rich chocolate and nut filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the pecans and coconut.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
