Description

Garlic basil scalloped potatoes are a creamy and flavorful side dish that combines the richness of potatoes with the aromatic taste of garlic and basil.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream with minced garlic until warm.
  3. Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the chopped basil, salt, and pepper over the potatoes.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Add half of the cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
