- 4 medium ripe red tomatoes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Slice tomatoes into thick rounds.
- In one bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and mix with milk.
- In a third bowl, place cornmeal.
- Dip each tomato slice in flour, then egg mixture, and finally coat with cornmeal.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry tomato slices until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

- Use ripe tomatoes for best flavor.
- Adjust seasoning according to preference.
- Serve with dipping sauce if desired.
