Description
Delicious fried apple or peach pies with a flaky crust and sweet filling.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 cups apples or peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in cold water to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
- In another bowl, mix fruits with sugar and cinnamon.
- Place filling on half of each dough circle.
- Fold over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Fry pies until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh or canned fruit.
- Adjust sugar based on the fruit’s sweetness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
