Description

Delicious fried apple or peach pies with a flaky crust and sweet filling.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 cups apples or peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in cold water to form a dough.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  5. In another bowl, mix fruits with sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Place filling on half of each dough circle.
  7. Fold over and seal the edges with a fork.
  8. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  9. Fry pies until golden brown on both sides.
  10. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
