Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a large baking dish, layer half of the chopped cabbage.
  7. Spread the meat mixture over the cabbage.
  8. Top with the remaining cabbage.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
