Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potatoes.
  5. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour half of the cream mixture over the layers.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream mixture.
  8. Dot the top with remaining butter.
  9. Bake for 45-60 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden.
