Description
A hearty dish of chicken and dumplings cooked in a crockpot for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 pound of boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of diced carrots
- 1 cup of diced celery
- 1 cup of frozen peas
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 2 cups of biscuit dough
Instructions
- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, peas, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough on top.
- Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Use rotisserie chicken for faster preparation.
- For a thicker stew, add extra biscuit dough.
