Crispy slow cooker carnitas made with flavorful pork.
Ingredients

- 4 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 lime, juiced
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder.
- Mix salt, cumin, and chili powder in a bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture over the pork.
- Place onion and garlic in the slow cooker.
- Add the pork on top of the onion and garlic.
- Pour orange juice and lime juice over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Remove pork and shred it with two forks.
- Broil shredded pork for 5-10 minutes for crispiness.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Great for tacos or burritos.
