- 250g caster sugar

- 300ml double cream
- 300g fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 120°C (250°F).
- Whisk egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add caster sugar, whisking until glossy.
- Fold in vinegar gently.
- Spoon meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let meringue cool.
- Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
- Mix strawberries with a bit of sugar if desired.
- Crush meringue into pieces.
- Layer meringue, cream, and strawberries in a serving dish.
