Ingredients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg, vanilla, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on wire racks.

- For a decorative touch, sprinkle sugar on top before baking.
