Delicious chocolate cinnamon rolls with a rich chocolate filling and a hint of cinnamon.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter on the dough and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
Notes
- For a sweeter roll, add more chocolate chips.
- These rolls are best served warm.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
