- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, then brown in the skillet.
- Add sausage and cook until browned.
- Remove meat from skillet and set aside.
- Add onions and peppers to the skillet, cooking until softened.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute.
- Pour in white wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet.
- Return chicken and sausage to the skillet.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to use other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms.
