Cheesy scalloped potatoes are a creamy, cheesy side dish perfect for any meal.
Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the onion and half of the cheese over the potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onion, and cheese.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and milk. Pour this mixture over the layered potatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder or fresh herbs.
