Description

Cheesy scalloped potatoes are a creamy, cheesy side dish perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the onion and half of the cheese over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onion, and cheese.
  6. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and milk. Pour this mixture over the layered potatoes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
