  • 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the seasoning mix all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  4. Stuff the turkey with lemon and onion quarters.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the pan.
  6. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil.
  7. Roast for 2-3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
  8. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
