Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed dried fruits
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Boil the mixed dried fruits in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Add sugar and butter to the boiled fruits and stir until melted.
  3. Let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  5. Add eggs to the cooled fruit mixture and mix well.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  7. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes.
  10. Let it cool before serving.
