- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion, sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth and mix well.
- Transfer dressing to a baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- You can add cooked sausage for extra flavor.
- Adjust herbs according to your taste.
- Make ahead and refrigerate, then bake before serving.
