- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the onion into a bloom shape.
- Mix flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Dip the onion in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Dip again in buttermilk and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Fry the onion until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
