Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 4 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt.
- Add cold water and mix to form a dough.
- Press dough into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Spread apple mixture over the crust.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, 1/2 cup flour, and melted butter.
- Sprinkle oat mixture over apples.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use tart apples for better flavor.
- Let pie cool completely before slicing.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
